Donna Marie Amadio, 60, club office manager

Donna Marie Amadio, an office manager for the Sherwood Forest Club, died of ovarian cancer Thursday at her home in the Anne Arundel County community. The former Hamilton resident was 60.

Born Donna Marie Toomer in Baltimore, she was a 1962 graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame.

From 1962 to 1963, she was a clerical worker for Commercial Credit Corp. and then became a Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. service representative. She was a C&P business office supervisor from 1967 to 1972 in downtown Baltimore.

After moving to Sherwood Forest in 1983, she became office manager for the community's club until her death.

Mrs. Amadio did cross-stitch handwork and knitting. She also played bridge and enjoyed powerboating on the Severn River.

A celebration of her life will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Sherwood Forest clubhouse, 136 Sherwood Forest Road.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Ernest Richard Amadio, senior vice president of Annapolis Banking and Trust; a daughter, Kim Marie Amadio of Arnold; and a sister, Karen Christine Toomer Haspert of Davidsonville.
