Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Burglary: Someone broke into U-Mart in the 4600 block of Park Heights Ave. on Saturday night or early Sunday after breaking a hole in a basement wall. However, the intruder was unable to open a trap door leading into the store and apparently fled when a burglar alarm sounded. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Northern District

Assault/arrest: An employee of Pizza Villa in the 5800 block of York Road was arguing with his employer and another worker about 5 p.m. Sunday, demanding more money and more hours, when he picked up a knife and cut them. Arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was Mohammod Kahn, 35, whose address was not available. The victims, Azfar Naeem, 36, and Masood Butt, 38, were treated for minor injuries at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.

Theft from vehicle: A compact disc player and two classical music CDs were stolen over the weekend from a 1997 Chevrolet Geo parked in the 200 block of E. 27th St.

Eastern District

Robbery: An 18-year-old woman was walking in the 900 block of N. Caroline St. about 10 p.m. Sunday when three men, one with a handgun, robbed her of $25 and a cell phone.

Theft from vehicle: Someone entered a 1997 Honda Accord parked in the 400 block of E. Eager St. on Sunday and stole a purse containing $300.

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1995 Dodge truck with tags M967002 was stolen Sunday in the 1700 block of N. Broadway.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Police continued to seek the thief who broke into a shed in the 12500 block of Eastern Blvd. on Friday and stole a 2000 Suzuki Z-400 all-terrain vehicle valued at $2,000.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Video games and their accessories - all valued at more than $500 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 2200 block of Whitcomb Circle.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a man in connection with a break-in at the home of his former girlfriend in the 200 block of Inchcape Circle over the weekend. Several clothing items were destroyed and carpeting was damaged.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: After hailing an unlicensed taxi in Baltimore early Sunday, a man was driven to the 700 block of Charing Cross Road, where at least two other passengers robbed him of $50 and forced him from the car.

Robbery: A 36-year-old man was walking toward Bank of America in the 9000 block of Liberty Road about 11:35 p.m. Saturday to make a night deposit when another man stuck an unknown weapon in his back and robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.
