Series: Bowie State leads 11-10

Last week: Bowie lost to Shaw, 27-14; Elizabeth City beat Virginia State, 15-14.

Outlook: Last week, the Bulldogs missed an opportunity to gain sole possession of first place in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association East.

Gettysburg (0-4) at McDaniel (3-1)

Site: Bair Stadium

Time: 1 p.m.

Radio: WTTR (1470 AM in Westminster)

Series: Gettysburg leads 42-14-1

Last week: McDaniel beat Ursinus, 50-10; Gettysburg was idle.

Outlook: The Green Terror defense is starting to dominate, and the offense is rolling behind Broderick Maybank, Jason Hartman and Brad Baer. LB Grant Acker leads Gettysburg in tackles with 48 and in scoring with 18 points, thanks to a 62-yard fumble return for a touchdown, three field goals and three extra points.

Wesley (3-1) at Frostburg State (1-3)

Site: Bobcat Stadium, Frostburg

Time: 1 p.m.

Series: Frostburg State leads 9-2

Last week: Frostburg State lost to Buffalo State, 16-9; Wesley lost to Carnegie Mellon, 24-10.

Outlook: Frostburg's offense has a scoring average of 11.8 points a game and a three-game losing streak.

Salisbury (5-0) at Buffalo State (1-4)

Site: Coyer Field, Buffalo, N.Y.

Time: 1 p.m.

Radio: WICO (1320 AM in Salisbury)

Series: Salisbury leads 2-0

Last week: Salisbury beat Apprentice School, 57-13; Buffalo State beat Frostburg State, 16-9.

Outlook: Since starting QB Dustin Johnson went down with a leg sprain three games ago, backup Travis Peters has helped the Sea Gulls maintain a 39-point scoring average while allowing just 14.2 points a game.

Johns Hopkins (3-1) at Fr. & Marshall (4-1)

Site: Sponaugle-Williamson Field, Lancaster, Pa.

Time: 1 p.m.

Series: Franklin & Marshall leads 33-20-2

Last week: Johns Hopkins lost to Dickinson, 17-7; Franklin & Marshall beat Muhlenberg, 15-10.

Outlook: Six turnovers last week, including four interceptions thrown by Zach DiIonno, wiped out the Blue Jays' hopes of going unbeaten.

Morgan State (1-4) at N.C. A&T (2-3)

Site: Aggie Stadium, Greensboro, N.C.

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Radio: WEAA (88.9 FM)

Series: Morgan leads 34-32-3

Last week: Morgan lost to Bethune-Cookman, 51-21; N.C. A&T lost to Norfolk State, 27-14.

Outlook: Morgan may not be able to pull out a third straight winning season unless it can find some more experienced defensive backs and a way to stop Bradshaw Littlejohn from throwing interceptions.

Rhode Island (2-2) at Towson (2-2)

Site: Johnny Unitas Stadium

Time: 6 p.m.

TV/Radio: CN8/WTMD (89.7 FM)

Series: Rhode Island leads 4-2

Last week: Towson beat Cornell, 21-11; Rhode Island lost to Brown, 20-13.

Outlook: Towson seeks its first Atlantic 10 victory on homecoming day. QB Andrew Goldbeck was productive (24 of 36 for 285 yards and two TDs) last week.
