If you thought Jay-Z would fade away after announcing his retirement and that R. Kelly would sit still and cool it after recent scandals, think again. The two urban titans stop at 1st Mariner Arena, 201 W. Baltimore St., Friday night at 8. In addition, the pair stops by the MCI Center (Sixth and G streets Northwest, D.C.) Thursday night at 8. Tickets for that show are $68-$153.

Funk Brothers / Gordon Center

The legendary Motown band, the Funk Brothers, is no longer standing in the shadows. The group plays two shows at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynbrook Ave., in Owings Mills, Saturday night at 7:30 and 9:45. Tickets are $46 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Incubus / Merriweather

Alt-metal band Incubus, best-known for the smash "Drive," heats up Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, Monday night at 7:30. Tickets are $25-$40 and are available through Ticketmaster.
