Chiefs 27, Ravens 24

October 05, 2004

Quarter: Fourth

Score: Chiefs 27-24

Situation: Ravens' ball, first-and-10 at their 43

Play: With the Ravens driving for an attempt at a game-tying field goal, the Chiefs blitzed, sending an extra player from each side - cornerback Benny Sapp (20) and linebacker Monty Beisel (56). Musa Smith (32), who was in the game for an injured Chester Taylor, picked up Beisel. However, Sapp came in untouched and had a free shot at the Ravens' Kyle Boller (7). The quarterback stumbled out of Sapp's grasp, ran into offensive lineman Orlando Brown, and was touched down by the Chiefs.

Aftermath: Faced with second-and-19, the Ravens gained 6 yards on the following three plays and gave the ball back to the Chiefs with 1:23 left.

Scoring

Chiefs 10 7 3 7 - 27

Ravens 3 14 0 7 - 24
