Two first-half goals were enough for eighth-ranked Calvert Hall (9-2, 6-2) to upset second-ranked Archbishop Curley, 2-1, yesterday in a Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A conference soccer game.

Chris Bailey scored 14 minutes into the first half, and Brian Schultz followed with the game-winner nine minutes later.

The host Friars' only score came with three minutes remaining in regulation on a goal by B.J. Quigley.

The Friars (10-3, 6-1) had an opportunity to score in the first half, but Cardinals goalkeeper Kyle Wittman stopped a penalty shot by Matt Ward to keep Curley scoreless. Wittman finished with 10 saves.
