Salisbury too much for Apprentice in 57-13 win

Leroy Satchell and Travis Peters combined for 234 offensive yards and four touchdowns as Salisbury picked up a 57-13 win over host Apprentice yesterday in Newport News, Va.

Satchell rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns.

Peters completed seven of 15 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns.

The Sea Gulls (5-0, 2-0 Atlantic Central Football Conference) topped the Builders (1-4, 0-3) in nearly every offensive category, finishing the game with a 450-193 advantage in total yards.

McDaniel 50, Ursinus 10: Broderick Maybank rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns and Jay Scott scored twice on fumble recoveries to lead the visiting Green Terror (3-1, 1-0 Centennial Conference) past the Bears (1-3, 0-1) in Collegeville, Pa.

Maybank scored on a 9-yard run in the first quarter and a 10-yard run in the third. Scott recovered a fumble in the end zone in the second quarter and scored on a 30-yard run after recovering a fumble in the fourth quarter.

Shaw 27, Bowie State 14: Dion McIver had 30 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns to power the host Bears (4-2, 2-2 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) past the Bulldogs (3-3, 2-2) in Raleigh, N.C.

Buffalo State 16, Frostburg State 9: Quarterback Mike Mikolaichik rushed for two touchdowns as the host Bengals (1-4, 1-1 ACFC) defeated the Bobcats (1-3, 1-2).

Buffalo State's Carl Jean-Louis intercepted a pass on the Bobcats' third offensive play. The Bengals needed just five plays to move 23 yards, with Mikolaichik capping the drive on a 9-yard scoring run to give Buffalo State its first lead of the season.
