RICHARD WILSON LEWIS of Dover, died Thursday, September 30, 2004 in Bay Health Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 81. Mr. Lewis was born March 29, 1923 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to the late David Richard Lewis and Geneva Oswald Lewis. He retired in 1972 after 31 years as a Civil Service Employee. He served during WWII in the Army Air Corp, as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Bradenton, FL. Mr. Lewis was a life member of DAV and VFW also a member of the American Legion Post #166 in Ocean City, Maryland, the Palestine Lodge #189 in Catonsville, MD the Sahib Temple in Sarasota, Florida and The Scottish Rite in Baltimore, MD. A brother Walter Lewis preceded him in death. Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Koch Lewis of Dover; two sons, David R. and Ronald K. Lewis, all of Baltimore, MD; one granddaughter, Sarah Long, also of Baltimore and one sister, Eleanor Johnson of Laguna Beach, CA. Memorial services are private.
