Blue Jays update

Believe it or not, the Blue Jays (64-90) still have something at stake heading into the last week of the season, Toronto is 2 1/2 games behind Tampa Bay for fourth place in the American League East. The Blue Jays, who have lost two straight, were scheduled to conclude a three-game series with the Devil Rays yesterday, but the game was canceled because of Hurricane Jeanne. The cancellation slightly altered the Blue Jays' rotation against the Orioles, moving yesterday's starter, Gustavo Chacin, who controlled the Yankees in his major league debut last week, to Wednesday. Halladay, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, returned to pitch four innings against the Yankees after being on the disabled list for two months with shoulder problems. The Orioles are 8-7 against the Jays this season, but when the teams last met at Camden Yards, Toronto had a three-game sweep in August.
