Today's state games

Greensboro (0-2) at Salisbury (3-0)

Site: Sea Gull Stadium, Salisbury

Time: 1 p.m.

Radio: WICO (1320 AM)

Series: Salisbury leads, 3-2

Last week: Salisbury defeated Methodist, 7-3; Greensboro lost to N.C. Wesleyan, 14-6.

Outlook: Salisbury overcame the rain and a second-quarter injury to junior QB Dustin Johnson to remain unbeaten. However, the status of Johnson is uncertain.

Winston-Salem St. (1-3) at Bowie St. (2-2)

Site: Bulldog Stadium, Bowie

Time: 1 p.m.

Series: Winston-Salem leads, 12-4

Last week: Bowie lost to North Carolina Central, 31-28; Winston-Salem defeated Virginia Union, 20-13.

Outlook: Bowie State's once-vaunted defense keeps bending while the offense plays well enough to win every week.

SUNY-Brockport (2-1) at Frostburg State (1-1)

Site: Bobcat Stadium, Frostburg

Time: 1 p.m.

Series: Brockport leads, 8-4

Last week: Frostburg lost to Montclair State, 29-14; Brockport defeated Newport News Apprentice, 52-6.

Outlook: The Bobcats have won nine straight Atlantic Central Football Conference games, but that streak could be in jeopardy today as SUNY-Brockport comes to town for the first time as a member of the ACFC.

Morgan State (1-2) vs. Hampton (3-0)

Site: Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.

Time: 4 p.m.

TV/Radio: BET (tape delay, 7 p.m.)/WEAA (88.9 FM)

Series: Morgan leads, 35-12-2

Last week: Morgan lost to San Jose State, 47-28; Hampton defeated Western Illinois, 40-20

Outlook: Morgan State basically received what it expected last week when it traveled to Division I-A San Jose State, a loss and a good financial guarantee. The Bears return to I-AA competition, where No. 20 Hampton awaits them in an NFL setting.

Northeastern (1-1) at Towson (1-1)

Site: Johnny Unitas Stadium

Time: 6 p.m.

Radio: WTMD (89.7 FM)

Series: Tied, 3-3

Last week: Both teams idle

Outlook: After two weeks to recover from a tough road loss to Delaware, the Tigers take on another nationally ranked Division I-AA team. No. 18 Northeastern is coming off a 28-24 loss at Navy. It is Towson's home Atlantic 10 debut.
