Tonight's Game

September 20, 2004

Vikings (1-0) at Eagles (1-0)

Time/TV: 9; chs, 2, 7. Line: Eagles by 3.

Trends: Eagles coach Andy Reid may be 0-3 in the NFC championship game, but he's 6-1 on Monday nights and 11-1 on prime-time TV. The Vikings haven't been on Monday Night Football since 2001. They started strong a year ago, winning their first six games.

Attractions: The most hyped matchup of the week is at wide receiver, where the Vikings' Randy Moss said there is no comparison between him and the Eagles' Terrell Owens. Moss is at his best in the limelight, with five 100-yard receiving games and 10 TDs in eight Monday night games. The bigger issue is how heavily the Eagles blitz QB Daunte Culpepper.

NEXT WEEK

Packers (1-1) at Colts (1-1): Packers don't like domes, and they won't like defending against the Colts' multi-dimensional attack, either.

Jaguars (2-0) at Titans (1-1): Two teams renew bitter AFC Central rivalry. Jaguars have played well in the clutch; Titans haven't.
