a care facility for the Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart and the Sisters of Mercy on Bellona Ave. in Baltimore. Sr. Jeanette was born in Baltimore on March 3, 1912 and raised in Fourteen Holy Martyrs Parish, one of six children of Joseph and Margaret (Hayes) Pitsinger. Sr. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rita and Frances (Reiniger), and brothers Edward, Maurice, and Joseph. She is cherished by her sister Elaine and brother-in-law Bernard Goldberg, 15 nieces and nephews and their children who have remained devoted to Sr. Jeanette; and by her Sisters in Community, Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart in Towson, MD. Sr. Jeanette;s life as a missionary spanned 63 years in many missions from MD, MI, KY, PA, NJ, and NC. Sr. Jeanette minstered to the deaf, religious education, parish census, adult teacher training, lay leadership and community service at the Mission Helper Motherhouse. Friends may call on Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 at The Villa, 6806 Bellona Ave. with Christian Wake Service at 7 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 20, at 11 A.M. in The Villa Chapel. Interment New Cathedral Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Advancement Office, Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart, 1001 W. Joppa Rd., Baltimore, MD 21204.
