JAMES EMMETT "BUBBA" IVERSON, formerly of Baltimore, MD died peacefully in his sleep on September 13, 2004 at the Deerhead Nursing Center in Salisbury, MD after a long illness. His wife Virginia preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Mariah Iverson Griffin of Hartfield, VA; devoted friend, Anna Ware of Baltimore, MD; three adopted children, Patricia Garland and Jackie Ware of Baltimore, MD and Melvin Ware of Macon, GA; two aunts, Lucille Preddy of Baltimore, MD and Bessie Cooke of Hartfield, VA; two brothers-in-law, 21 adopted grandchildren, 35 adopted great-grandchildren, 21 adopted great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2004 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 917 W. Isabella Street, MD and a graveside service at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartfield, VA on Tuesday, September 21, 2004.
