Kim Possible 2: Drakken's Demise

It's difficult to find a video game that appeals to preteen girls. And to find one as good as Kim Possible 2 is nearly impossible. Based on the Disney animated TV series, this Game Boy Advance title extends the adventures of high school student and world heroine Kim Possible.

Over the course of 16 levels, players avoid henchmen with stylish moves and nifty gadgets like a grappling hook. The game play is quick, and smooth animation and colorful graphics add to the fun. The only negative is that the level of difficulty may be too high for the intended audience.

Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow

One of last year's most popular online titles for Xbox was Rainbow Six 3. Ubisoft's shooting game stood out due to its tight, tactical, team game play.

Nevertheless, it did have imperfections. The recent release, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow addresses the flaws and adds some nice new features. Better artificial intelligence, extra maps, new modes and augmented Xbox Live support are the standout additions. Although it's more of an expansion than a full sequel, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow makes a great game even greater. Rated M for blood and gun violence.

Sudeki

In the role-playing adventure game Sudeki, an ancient land is divided by the forces of light and dark. It's not a very original premise, but the visuals are beautiful and the action is plentiful (a rare thing for games in this genre).

You command a diverse quartet of warriors, each with unique abilities and playing styles. This brave band travels the countryside, through towns and dungeons, battling all sorts of monsters.

Controlling four individual characters at once could get complicated, so the developers included a type of "autopilot" system. If you stick with one fighter, for instance, you can set your teammates to attack or defend as needed. This and other clever game-play mechanics don't always work, but it's a nice try. Rated M for violence and some blood and gore.
