Vehicle found, suspects at large after carjacking

After recovering a vehicle from a carjacking early this week, county police continued to search yesterday for two suspects in the robbery.

Police said the carjacking took place Monday before 9 p.m., when a man armed with a handgun approached the victim, who was vacuuming his black Suzuki Aerio at the Freetown Car Wash in Pasadena. The carjacker demanded that the man lie on the ground and hand over his money, police said. Moments later, a second male suspect arrived, and the two men drove away in the victim's car.

Police found the vehicle yesterday in the parking lot of Arundel Hills Park.

Death penalty is sought in inmate vs. inmate killing

Anne Arundel County prosecutors will seek a death sentence for a 25-year-old prisoner accused of killing a fellow inmate in February.

Robert Lee McFarlin is accused of the Feb. 3 fatal stabbing of Damon Bowie in the Maryland House of Correction Annex in Jessup.

Because Bowie was slain inside a state prison, the case is automatically considered for a death sentence. No trial date has been set.
