Steele to participate in Capitol Heights forum

Meeting part of series focusing on education, community revitalization

Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele and other officials will hold a forum on issues such as education, community revitalization and business opportunities from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Capitol Heights Town Hall in Prince George's County.

The forum, titled "Children Are Our Future," is part of the Maryland Municipal League Conference, a group of scheduled meetings among municipal leaders throughout the state.

Accompanying Steele at the forum will be Capitol Heights Mayor Joyce Ayers Nixon, town council members and other community leaders.

Steele is also scheduled to visit Fairmont Heights on Sept. 16, Forest Heights on Sept. 29, and Hyattsville on Oct. 5 as part of the forum series.

Capitol Heights Town Hall is located at 1 Capitol Heights Blvd.
