JUDITH KEMP JOHNSON, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., died September 6, 2004. She was born December 30, 1931 in Baltimore, MD., daughter of Dr. Richard Joseph Kemp and Alice Haynes Kemp. She received R.N. and B.S. degrees from Johns Hopkins Nursing School and Johns Hopkins UNiversity. She married Dr. Joseph E. Johnson III and accompanied him as his military service and academic medical career took them to positions in Hawaii, Bethesda and Baltimore, MD., Gainesville, Fl., Winston-Salem, NC, Ann Arbor, Mi and Philadelphia, PA. In 2003 they retire to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. With her vibrant personality and wonderful sense of humor she was a highly supportive wife and companion, an outstanding mother and friend of many. She is survived by her husband of nearly forty-nine years, Joseph E. Johnson II, MD., MACP, son Joseph E. Johnson IV, MD FACP of San Antonio, TX, daughters Judith Ann Johnson, BS, RN of Birmingham, AL, Julie Marie Johnson, BA of Ponte Vedra, her mother, Alice H Kemp and sister, Mary Jane Manly of Anaheim Hills, CA and three grandsons. The funeral will be September 18 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. Arrangements are under the care of Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home & Cemetery, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl.
