SafeNet Inc.

The Belcamp-based maker of network security systems, which on Tuesday introduced an "intrusion prevention system" for chip manufacturers and communications processors, gained 4.4 percent yesterday.


Pathmark Stores Inc.

The supermarket chain, which operates stores in the New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia areas, tumbled 18 percent yesterday after reporting a nickel-a-share second-quarter loss. The company said it likely will default on some of the terms of its credit agreement this quarter and reduced its full-year earnings estimate.
