The Division Rivals

Key for Ravens

Rattle quarterback Carson Palmer. Palmer replaces Jon Kitna, who led the Bengals to an 8-8 record last year. The Ravens should know firsthand that first-time starters have a tendency to commit turnovers, so the defense should make it a goal to force at least three in each game.

Biggest headache

Safety Rogers Beckett had 17 tackles, an interception and half a sack in two games against the Ravens last year.

Footnote

The Bengals and Ravens have split the season series in two of the past three years.

Brian Billick's impression

"Everybody is excited about Cincinnati. They may be the most talented offense in the AFC. Certainly the quarterback issue is one they have to deal with, but [Palmer] is certainly talented enough."
