Steelers Vs. Ravens

Nfl Preview 2004

The Division Rivals

Key for Ravens

This could be another down year for the Steelers, but that doesn't matter when it comes to this rivalry. The Steelers nearly beat the Ravens in the season finale last year when they had nothing to play for. If Jamal Lewis can gain 80 yards on the Steelers' defense, expect the Ravens to win.

Biggest headache

LB Joey Porter plays his best against the Ravens and inspires his teammates. He has nearly started two brawls in the past few years, but he also has backed up his talk with fine play.

Footnote

WR Plaxico Burress had one catch for 13 yards in the season finale, his worst showing ever against the Ravens.

Brian Billick's impression

"I think Pittsburgh will continue to be one of the best offenses in the league. With [defensive coordinator] Dick LeBeau back, they're going to be a good defensive team."
