Stroll around the 22 acres of Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton Sunday and enjoy "Children's Day." Tour the flower and topiary gardens and manor house, and let the kids enjoy outdoor games, storytelling, sing-alongs, rock-painting and craft-making, face painting, snacks and more. Guided or self-guided tours of the gardens, which feature living shrub sculptures by Harvey Ladew, are offered, as well as guided house tours.

He's perhaps the most famous beagle in the world. And he'll be at the Hannah More Arts Center in Stevenson Sunday, Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 when Pumpkin Theatre presents the musical comedy Snoopy!!! The show, based on Charles Schulz's comic strip Peanuts, centers on a day in the life of Charlie Brown's beloved pooch, Snoopy, and his pal Woodstock.
The show, which opens Pumpkin Theatre's 37th season, features music by Larry Grossman, lyrics by Hal Hackady, direction and choreography by Todd Pearthree and musical direction by R. Christopher Rose. Starring in the production are Michael Himelfarb as Snoopy, Joey Hellman as Charlie Brown, Lauren Spencer-Harris as Peppermint Patty, Becca Vourvoulas as Sally, Kelli Danaker as Lucy, Brent Bell as Linus and Tanner Blaize as Woodstock.

`Cabin Fever Fun Day'
Celebrate summers past at "Cabin Fever Fun Day" at the Jewish Museum of Maryland Sunday. The museum is preparing for its coming exhibition Cabin Fever! Jewish Camping and Jewish Commitment, set to open in spring of 2005. The exhibit will focus on the history of Jewish overnight and day camps during the past century. And Sunday, the museum is inviting visitors to come and help prepare for the fun exhibit. Kids can help to create a camp-themed mural, which will serve as an exhibit backdrop. And adults may bring in their camp memorabilia, such as letters, arts and crafts projects and uniforms, for possible inclusion in the exhibit. Also, all visitors may tour the museum's other exhibits on "Fun Day."
