Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Shooting: A man in his late 20s was shot about 3:20 a.m. Sunday as he sat in a vehicle in the 1800 block of St. Paul St. A man approached the victim and tried to rob him of a gold chain. When the victim resisted, the man shot him in the left side. The wounded man drove himself to a hospital and was reported by police to be in good condition.

Eastern District

Stabbing: A 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back about 4 a.m. Saturday during an argument over a pair of shorts in the 1200 block of N. Milton Ave. The attacker, described by police as a 14-year-old, fled. The victim was reported in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A 44-year-old East Baltimore man was shot in the arm and leg about 2:10 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Shirley Ave. The victim fled in a vehicle, using his cell phone to call relatives. Officers caught up with him in the 3700 block of Park Heights Ave. and arranged for him to be taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was treated for the injuries that weren't life-threatening. Police did not know of a motive and had no suspect.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Attempted murder: A Reisterstown woman was severely beaten early Sunday morning. The victim was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where her condition was not available. Larry Lewis, 26, of Baltimore, a former boyfriend of the victim, was arrested later Sunday. Police said a man entered the victim's unlocked apartment in the 200 block of Caraway Road between midnight and 1 a.m. and beat her with fists and an empty bottle.

Woodlawn Precinct

Armed robbery: A man in a dark jumpsuit and wearing sunglasses robbed a Wachovia Bank branch in the 1700 block of Rolling Road about 11 a.m. Friday. The man passed a note to a teller implying he had a gun. He left on foot, a bag of cash in hand.

Wilkens Precinct

Armed robbery: A 7-Eleven store in the 1100 block of N. Rolling Road was robbed by two armed men early Sunday. The men entered the store at 3:50 a.m., displayed a handgun and forced an employee and a customer into a back room. The men escaped with $50 and three cartons of cigarettes.
