Woman found stabbed to death in White Oak

WHITE OAK -- A Montgomery County woman died of stab wounds yesterday morning after what might have been a domestic dispute, police said.

About 2 a.m., officers investigated noise in an apartment in the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle in White Oak. When police entered the apartment, they found a man and a woman with stab wounds.

Both were taken to local hospitals. County police had not released the victims' names yesterday.

4 break in, rape woman and steal computer, cash

ROCKVILLE -- Police were searching for four men they said broke into a house yesterday and raped a woman.

Investigators said the men broke into the home and demanded drugs. When the woman told them she did not have any they pulled a handgun, raped her, then stole a computer and cash.

"It's an anomaly in Rockville, very unusual. She had no idea who they were," said Lt. John Hack of the Montgomery County police.

The woman was able to provide only a vague description. Officers were talking to neighbors to see if anyone heard or saw anything.

Police seek man who fled psychiatric unit at hospital

GREENBELT -- Police in Prince George's County were searching last night for a paroled murderer who escaped early Sunday from a hospital where he was being treated after allegedly brandishing a handgun during a traffic stop.

Anthony Curtis Foster, 34, of Greenbelt was being held for an involuntary emergency psychiatric evaluation at Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly when he fled about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Greenbelt police said.

Foster, who was on parole for a 1988 murder, had been pulled over early Saturday for erratic driving, police said. He ignored several orders to show his hands and then got out of his car holding a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun, police said. The Greenbelt police officer who stopped him fired several shots at Foster, striking him once in the forearm, police said.

Foster is described as a 5-foot-9, 190-pound black man with a dark complexion, bald head, brown eyes and a beard. He has a large tattoo of a cross on his left upper arm and might be wearing bandages on both forearms, police said.
