Black & Decker Corp. Shares of the Towson-based toolmaker bucked yesterday's down market, advancing $1.22, or 1.7 percent, to $71.88.


Southwest Airlines Co.

The Dallas-based airline, the dominant carrier at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, dropped 72 cents, or 4.8 percent, to $14.25 yesterday, despite reporting that its passenger traffic last month rose 11.3 percent from the previous year. The airline's passenger load per plane rose to 75.1 percent, up from 73.2 percent a year ago.
