One last splash

Stuck here Labor Day? This is the last weekend that Baltimore's public pools will be open, so you can still cool off in the water.

Many of the smaller pools have already closed, but the pools listed below will be open through Monday. Cost is $1.50

The Clifton Park pool is at 2013 Sinclair Lane. Call 410-396-9330.

The Druid Hill Park pool is at 800 Wyman Park Drive. Call 410-396-6477.

The Riverside Park pool is at 1800 Covington St. Call 410-396-8059.

The Roosevelt Park pool is at 3500 Poole St. Call 410-396-6487.

Downtown concert

Get your groove on this afternoon to the Crawdaddies. The cajun/zydeco band is this month's featured live act for the First Thursday concert series.

They'll play from noon to 2 p.m. at Hopkins Plaza. The concert is free.

Deal Island Festival

Taste salt air this weekend at Deal Island Harbor's Skipjack Race and Land Festival. The event kicks off on Saturday with a gospel concert. On Sunday at 1 p.m., watch an antique-car show. On Monday, they race 65-foot skipjacks. Spectators can watch from land or, if they get there early enough, can try and catch a ride with one of the racers. The boats leave the harbor at 8 a.m. If you miss the boats, there will also be a fishing contest, a lineman pole-climbing contest, swimming contest and boat docking contest. There will be food, arts and crafts, and live music all day Sunday and Monday. Cost is $2.
