Cyndi Lauper/Pier Six

Get your game on Wednesday night at the 9:30 Club. GameRiot - a traveling video-game festival - will set up roughly 65 stations inside the nightclub. Games available include unreleased titles such as ESPN NHL and Star Wars: Battlefront. Competitions are scheduled throughout the night; visit for times.

There will be two GameRiot sessions, at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Tickets get you into one session and cost $10.

Funk Box birthday

The Funk Box celebrates its first birthday this weekend, and a slew of acts are lined up to help it party. Tonight, the Funky Meters headline. Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors are also billed. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $34.

Tomorrow catch the Funky Meters again at 8 p.m. The Bridge will open. Tickets are $30 in advance, $38 at the door.

If you just can't get enough of the Funky Meters, you can catch the band both nights for $60.

Saturday, Chuck Brown takes the stage. The Rebirth Brass Band opens. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Sunday, Fertile Ground will hold its Baltimore CD release party starting at 8 p.m. Lafayette Gilchrist and the New Volcanoes are also billed and also release a new CD at the show. Cost is $15.

Blues Society concert

Baltimore Blues Society is putting on a quadruple header Sunday. Nick Curran and the Nitelifes, Big Joe and the Dynaflows, Floyd Lee, and Deb Callahan will play at the Rosedale American Legion Grounds. Music goes from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $25 at the gate, $20 in advance.
