On August 28, 2004, ELIZABETH ELLEN (nee Carter) age 97 1/2; devoted mother of George E. Milbert; dear mother-in-law of Bonnie Milbert; devoted grandmother of Tyson Milbert and his wife Tracey and April Young; devoted great-grandmother of Nathaniel, Brandon and Ashton. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Milbert and her brothers, John and Robert Carter. Announcement will be made for a Memorial Service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth's name to Stella Maris Hospice Care, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093-9297GEORGE FREDRICK MOYNIHAN, 56, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2004. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Nora Donnelly Moynihan and the late George Fredrick Moynihan. He was a graduate of Bishop England High School in Charleston, SC, attended seminary school at St. Mary's in Kentucky and St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland. He was ordained a Catholic Priest on December 7, 1974. Among the parishes he served as a priest in the Diocese of Charleston were Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Charleston, St. Paul's Catholic Church in Spartanburg, and St. Thomas in N. Charleston. He served as pastor at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dillon, SC from 1980 to 1989, pastor of St. Cyprians in Georgetown, SC from 1989 to 1990 and became pastor of Our Lady Star of the Sea in March 1990. Surviving include his mother, Nora M. Wapp of Parrish, Florida, five sisters: Noreen M. Walker and husband Larry of Parrish, FL; Kathleen M. Trottter and husband Bill of Sarasota, FL; Mary M. Wiley and husband Jeff of Atlanta, GA; Barbara M. Hotz and husband Edmund of Melbourne, FL; and Charlene M. Thompson and husband Tom of Charleston, SC. Also surviving are 10 nieces and nephews, 1 great-nephew, 1 great-niece, his best friend of 30 years, Jimmy D'Angelo, and his faithful golden retriever, "Becca". Father George's body will be received at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 5 PM, Thursday and will lie in state until services on Friday. A Christian Vigil Service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church Friday, September 3rd, 2004 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100-8th Ave N., North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582. Mc Millan-Small Funeral Home is serving the family.
