Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Shooting: Several disorderly men ordered out of the Belvedere Hotel in the first block of E. Chase St. about 1 a.m. yesterday during a party became involved in a fight outside, in which a 20-year-old man was shot in the left arm and upper body. The victim was treated at Maryland General Hospital, then transferred to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No arrest was made.

Robbery try/arrests: Two men, one with a handgun, were attempting to rob a 39-year-old man in a garage in the 200 block of Water St. about 1 a.m. yesterday when friends came to his aid and held the pair for police. Arrested by Officer David Hittle and charged with attempted armed robbery were Baltimore County residents Walter Lovitt, 24, of the 100 block of Benoni Circle and Troy Smith, 21, of the 1100 block of Punjab Drive.

Northwestern District

Shootings: Two gunmen shot a man, 28, in the face, right arm and right leg as he was about to enter a house in the 3000 block of Oakley Ave. about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. A 25-year-old who was riding a bike nearby was shot in the left arm. They were treated at Sinai Hospital.

Southwestern District

Robbery/shooting: Two men were walking in the 200 block of S. Augusta Ave. about 12:05 a.m. yesterday when four men, one with a handgun, robbed one of them of $2. When his friend turned to run, the gunman shot him in the hand and torso. The victim was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A 24-year-old was shot in both legs when he turned to flee from an armed robber in the 6100 block of Boston St. about 6 a.m. yesterday. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Western District

Shooting: A 20-year-old man arguing with several other people in the hallway of an apartment building in the 2200 block of W. North Ave. about 2:30 p.m. Sunday was shot in the left arm. He was treated at Shock Trauma.

Eastern District

Shooting: A 21-year-old man was walking in the 1100 block of Wilmont Court about 12:20 a.m. Sunday when someone shot him twice in the left side. He was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Robbery try/arrests: Police arrested two men and were seeking two others in the attempted home-invasion robbery Sunday morning of a couple in the first block of Ute Court. Charged with attempted armed robbery and assault were Raymond Johnston, 26, of the 1500 block of Becklow Road and William Tolson, 28, of the 100 block of Graythorn Road.
