City 16-year-old found suffering from gunshot wound in Essex area last night

Baltimore County police today were investigating the fatal shooting of a city teenager in the Essex area last night.

According to county police, officers were called to the Cutlass Court area just after 11 p.m. for gunshots fired. When they arrived, police found Floyd Anthony Vines, 16, of the 600 block of Belnord Ave. lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body, authorities said.

Vines was taken to Franklin Square Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to police.

Detectives in the continuing investigation had no suspects or motive in the killing, police said.
