`No hats, hoods, sunglasses' is new policy at bank

CommunityBanks of Harrisburg, Pa., which has two branches in Carroll County, has announced a "no hats, no hoods, no sunglasses" policy.

Pennsylvania banks and credit unions are beginning this policy in their lobbies in response to the rising number of robberies nationwide. Removing head and face coverings will make it easier for banks to identify clients in the event of a problem.

Signs are hung at each office lobby entrance asking people to remove hats, hoods and sunglasses before entering the building. Customers who refuse to comply will be served, but they will be monitored more closely.
