Ottawa 7, Scranton-Wilkes/Barre 5: Chad Mottola (2-for-5) hit a three-run homer in the seventh to lift the visiting Lynx (60-74) over the Red Barons (67-64). Starter Andrew Lorraine (3-4) pitched seven innings to get the win. Darwin Cubillan earned his 22nd save. Mount St. Joe alum Gavin Floyd (1-3) took the loss.

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 11, Akron 6: The host Baysox (67-64) used a five-run eighth to power past the Aeros (57-72). Ed Rogers hit a two-run double, and Keith Reed had a three-run homer to break the 6-6 tie.

Single-A Carolina League

Kinston 7, Frederick 2: The visiting Keys (26-33) have lost four in a row.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Lake County 7, Hagerstown 2: The Captains (28-30) scored five runs in the ninth, including a three-run triple by Mike Conroy, to beat the host Suns (20-38).

Lakewood 9, Delmarva 5: Dustin Yount had a three-run double in a losing effort for the host Shorebirds (30-28). The BlueClaws (32-26) evened the series at 1-1.

Aberdeen 7, Mahoning Valley 6: The visiting IronBirds (32-34) avoided the sweep.
