Carole L. Miller, 60, hospital lab technician

Carole L. Miller, a retired hospital laboratory technician and former Olney resident, died of complications from a lung transplant Aug. 18 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. She was 60.

Born and raised in Baltimore, the former Carole Lee Eichelberger attended city public schools and later earned her General Education Development diploma.

In 1963, she married Michael A. Miller, now a retired accountant.

A resident of Olney for 27 years, Mrs. Miller worked during the 1980s as a laboratory technician at Montgomery General Hospital there. Since 1996, she had lived in Sarasota, Fla.

Mrs. Miller enjoyed swimming, gardening and travel.

No funeral was planned.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Mark Miller of Olney; two daughters, Barbara Seitz of Gaithersburg and Lisa Miller of Frederick; two brothers, David Eichelberger of Baltimore and Robert Eichelberger of Glen Burnie; a sister, Betty Norris of San Diego; and three grandchildren,
