Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Shooting: Police were seeking a gunman who shot a 23-year-old Westport man in the stomach and arms Sunday evening in Cherry Hill. The victim was shot while standing behind a truck whose driver was selling snacks to children in the 2700 block of Sethlow Road. The victim was reported in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Shawn Reichenhberg at 410-396-2499.

Robbery: A 26-year-old woman was robbed by a gunman in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. on Monday evening after cashing a check for $555.

Arrest: A man was chased and arrested Monday by Officer Nick Bingham and charged with attempting to steal items from a 1986 Chrysler station wagon parked in the 1300 block of E. Patapsco Ave. James Ross, 42, of the 4200 block of Pascal Ave., also was charged with destruction of property and threatening the vehicle's owner.

Arrest: A 14-year-old boy was chased and arrested by Officer Richard Watts after abandoning a stolen Chrysler van in the 3600 block of Ninth St. early Monday. The boy was charged as a juvenile with auto theft.

Central District

Burglary: Someone broke into the child care center at the Baltimore Urban League on Orchard Street early Monday and stole a portable cassette player. The intruder also poured paint onto the floor, causing several hundred dollars in damage.

Purse snatching: A woman, 52, was about to enter her home in the 2300 block of Madison Ave. about 8:25 p.m. Monday when a man stole her purse containing $12 and personal property.

Southeastern District

Robbery/assault: A man armed with a sharp object robbed another man, 32, of $20 in the 3000 block of Fait Ave. about 10 a.m. Monday. The same man is suspected of cutting another man earlier during an attempted robbery at Fleet Street and South Patterson Park Avenue.

Eastern District

Stabbing/robbery: Police were seeking a man and his female accomplice who robbed a 26-year-old man of his wallet in the 300 block of E. North Ave. about 8:40 p.m. Monday. Before the pair fled, the male robber stabbed the victim in the left side with a knife. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Bank robbery: A man armed with a handgun and a knife robbed Patapsco Bank in the 8700 block of Harford Road of an undisclosed sum of money about 2:35 p.m. Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A man robbed a 7-Eleven in the 11600 block of Philadelphia Road of $30 about 12:20 a.m. Monday while implying that he had a handgun.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from a house in the 6900 block of Marsue Drive between Aug. 16 and Saturday. The burglary was reported Monday.
