Rotary club elects board of directors, plans fund-raiser

The Annapolis Rotary Club recently elected new officers. Ron Baradel was elected president. Joining him on the board of directors are Eric Edstrom, vice president; Tom Bolander, secretary; Kathie Sulick, treasurer; and Patricia Burnham, Barbara Copeland, John Davis, Ken Henry and Lisa Edler Knoll.

Membership is made up of about 160 business and professional leaders. The first order of business for the new board is the 59th annual Rotary Crab Feast, which will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The crab feast is the club's largest annual fund-raiser.

Business expo scheduled for Sept. 15 in Glen Burnie

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will present its Business to Business Expo, "Today's Steps, Tomorrow's Success," from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at La Fontaine Bleu in Glen Burnie.

The event will focus on small businesses in Anne Arundel and surrounding counties and the issues they face as they grow.

Programs include two business development workshops and a keynote speaker, as well as a morning networking mixer. Exhibitors will provide attendees the chance to network and learn about businesses in the community.

Last year the event drew nearly 50 exhibitors and 500 attendees. The expo committee is accepting exhibitor applications for this year's booths. Sponsorships on a four-level tier are also available. Information: 410- 766-8282.
