Syracuse 8, Ottawa 2: Talley Haines (3-2) pitched three innings of relief to get the win for the SkyChiefs (56-72). Starter John Maine (4-7) took the loss for the Lynx (56-72).

Double-A Eastern League

Bowie 7, Altoona 3

Single-A Carolina League

Myrtle Beach 3, Frederick 2: The visiting Keys (25-29) have lost three in a row.

Single-A South Atlantic League

Charleston (W.Va.) 6, Hagerstown 3: Winner Daniel Core (9-8) pitched five innings and limited the Suns (16-36) to three runs in the third inning, striking out six in a rain-shortened game.

Delmarva 4, Lexington 1: The Shorebirds (26-26) are .500 for the second half of the season, and .504 for the season.

Single-A New York-Penn League

Aberdeen at Hudson Valley: Last night's game between the IronBirds (28-31) and host Renegades (31-26) was rained out. Hudson Valley led 4-3 in the fourth. The game will not be made up.
