Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Assault: Police were seeking a 33-year-old man charged in a warrant with assaulting a 15-year-old boy with a dog chain. About 3 a.m. Wednesday, the man was scolding the boy about taking the man's dog for a walk in the 3400 block of Sixth St. without his permission when the man allegedly struck the boy in the face with the chain. The boy was treated at Harbor Hospital for lacerations. Police withheld the man's name pending his arrest.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 53-year-old woman was walking toward a bus stop in the 3800 block of Park Heights Ave. about 5:20 a.m. Wednesday when she was stopped by a man who asked her for 50 cents. When the woman hesitated, the man grabbed her around the neck and threatened to slit her throat before taking $3 in bus fare she was holding in her hand. No weapon was displayed.

Central District

Theft: A man was sleeping in his trailer home parked in the 100 block of W. Eager St. early Wednesday when he was awakened by an alarm. When the man sat up, he noticed someone reaching through a window and stealing his cell phone valued at more than $300.

Robbery: A 45-year-old woman was walking in the first block of S. Commerce St. about 11 p.m. Wednesday when she was stopped by a man who asked her for change. Before the woman could react, the man stole her purse and fled.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 35, was walking in the first block of Strawhat Road about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed her of her purse containing $100 cash and credit cards.
