Ciesielski, Dorothy Mae

DOROTHY MAE CIESIELSKI (nee Flinn), 82, died on August 16. During her youth, the Baltimore native was an active member of the J.O.Y. (Jesus First, Others Second, Yourself Last) Club of the Union Square Methodist Church in Baltimore. She lived her life according to those principles and was a dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ciesielski and parents, Thomas and Edith Flinn. Mrs. Ciesielski was a loyal employee of the A&P Tea Company for 35 years. Some of her interests were travel, gardening and indulging her two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dolly and Paul Merritt; two grandchildren: Paul Merritt Jr. and his wife Tammy, and Kelly Smith; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Merritt and Benjamin Smith; five siblings: Virginia Potter of Jacksonville, Florida, Evelyn Stevens, of Riderwood, Maryland, Betty Richardson, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Thom Flinn of Ellicott City, Maryland, and La Rue Merson, of Ferndale, Maryland and beloved long-time friend, Fred Neuberger. The family will receive friends at the Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home Inc. in Ellicott City on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday 1 P.M. at Glen Mar United Methodist Church. Interment Baltimore National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
