CUBS: Announced that P LaTroy Hawkins' appeal of his three-game suspension was rejected, but his fine was reduced from $3,000 to $2,000. Signed P Grant Jackson, their first pick in draft. Acquired P Eric Eckenstahler from Tigers to complete earlier trade.
