Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Shooting: An unidentified man was in the 1300 block of W. Pratt St. shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him three times in the upper torso. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition was not available.

Burglary: Someone broke into the Pep Boys in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. early Wednesday after breaking a window and removed a mini-motorcycle. Police responding to a burglar alarm found the vehicle behind the store.

Northern District

Shooting/arrest: David Chapple, 21, of the 2200 block of Loyola Northway, was arrested Wednesday evening and charged with attempted murder and a handgun violation in the shooting earlier that day of a man, 23, in the 2600 block of Oswego Ave. The victim was shot in the right arm and was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Shooting: A man, 22, was walking in the 500 block of E. 29th St. about 1:15 a.m. yesterday when he saw a gunman chasing another man. The gunman fired a shot that missed his intended target and struck the bystander in the right arm. The victim was taken by a relative to Union Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Video games, a lawnmower, gas cans and a 51-inch screen television were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 4100 block of Oakford Ave.

Burglary: While a resident of the 3800 block of Copley Road watered her plants Wednesday afternoon, someone entered her home and stole several pieces of jewelry and an envelope containing $30. The woman told police she heard a noise coming from inside the house but thought it was squirrels.

Western District

Robbery: Police were seeking two men, one with a handgun, who forced their way into an apartment in the 700 block of N. Carey St. about 10 p.m. Tuesday and robbed a woman and her sister of $700.

Theft: A white pit bull valued at $150 was stolen Wednesday from the rear yard of a house in the 1700 block of Lorman St.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Bank robbery: A man robbed Susquehanna Bank in the 1100 block of Reisterstown Road about 9 a.m. Wednesday after giving a teller a holdup note.

Essex Precinct

Robbery/arrests: A woman, 38, was walking along Eastern Boulevard near North Marlyn Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when two men stole her purse. Moments later, Officer Philip Winkler spotted two suspects standing behind a shopping center and arrested them. Charged with robbery were Calvin Fulton, 18, of the 3500 block of Benzinger Road and Robert Duckett, 19, of the 3100 block of St. Luke's Lane. The victim's purse was recovered.

North Point Precinct

Theft: An outboard motor valued at $2,500 was stolen Wednesday from a boat parked in the 3200 block of Lynch Road.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Two air-compressors - all worth $550 - were stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 15000 block of Carroll Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: A video game system valued at $350 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Chadnor Court by someone who entered through a window.
