Pawtucket 8, Ottawa 6: Rick Bauer took the loss and fell to 0-4 for the host Lynx (52-64), who rallied with four runs in the ninth inning but couldn't overcome the Red Sox (60-56).

Bowie 6, Harrisburg 5: The host Baysox (60-56) tied the Senators (40-75) in the eighth with a two-run home run from Ed Rogers, then won it in the ninth on Keith Reed's bases-empty shot.

Single-A Carolina League

Frederick 6, Salem 3: Chris Carter was 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored, leading the visiting Keys (19-24) to a win over the Avalanche (18-26).

Single-A South Atlantic League

Augusta 5, Delmarva 0: Three pitchers combined on a shutout to help the visiting Greenjackets (18-25) avoid a four-game sweep by the Shorebirds (20-22).

Asheville 4, Hagerstown 2: The Suns (15-29) made three errors during the loss at home.
