Angels update

Despite being ravaged by injuries - Anaheim has played its projected starting lineup just once all year - the Angels (62-50) are 1 1/2 games behind Oakland in the AL West, and lead the wild-card race by a game over Boston and Texas. They are 5-1 against the Orioles this season, including 3-0 at home. Anaheim, winner of five straight and nine of its past 12, has relied heavily on its one-two punch of outfielders Jose Guillen and Vladimir Guerrero, both offseason acquisitions. Guillen has hit in 21 of his past 24 games and has already tied a career high in RBIs, while Guerrero ranks in the AL's top 10 in average, homers and RBIs. Hard-throwing Bartolo Colon, another offseason acquisition, has found his form, winning six straight starts.
