On July 15, 2004, CAROL (Steuart) TURNER, 88, of Springfield, MO. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Rieman and Caroline (Poumairat) Steuart on July 24, 1915 and was educated in the Baltimore schools. For many years, she belonged to Trinity Church in Towson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sister, Marjorie (Steuart) Snider. She was married to Douglas Keeler, who died in 1944, in the war in the Pacific. Her second marriage was to William D. turner, who died in Springfield in 1995. Carol is survived by a son, Peter Rieman Keeler, of Austin, TX; a daughter, Mary (Turner) Pattiz, of Los Angeles, CA; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Keeler) Patton and two great-grandchildren, Keeler and Daphne Patton, all of Glen Ridge, NJ. A Memorial Service is planned for the fall in National Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Council of Churches Charity Organization in which she was long active: Crosslines, 1710 E. Chestnut, Springfield, MO 65802.
