On August 3, 2004 FRANCES A. SANZO (nee Rubino) beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Sanzo, beloved and devoted mother of Barbara Sanzo Sonn, Janet Sanzo Scheller and the late Frances Sanzo Gerrard, beloved sister of Edna Stern and Anthony P. Rubino and his wife Lois, dear grandmother of Jack, Thomas and Peter Mc Cleary, Joshua, Matthew and Lucas Chesmore, Jessica, Madeline and Samantha Engel and Andrew Anderson. Joyful great-grandmother of Grace, Andrew and William Mc Cleary. A Funeral Mass will be offered Friday 11 A.M. at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. Interment Saturday 11 A.M. at St. John's Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. HENRY ARTHUR WOODROW SCHAEFFER, 89, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the Life Care Center of Hilton Head, Hilton Head, SC. Rev. Schaeffer was born January 13, 1915 in Tamaqua, PA to the late Arthur L. Schaeffer and Mable Becker Schaeffer. He was a graduate of Tamaqua High School, Ursinus College and the Lancaster Theological Seminary. He received an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1955 from Ursinus College. He served 41 years in the parish ministry serving at Brush-Creek, Manor, PA; First and St. Stephens, Baltimore, MD; Bethany United Church of Christ, Bethlehem, PA; First United Church of Christ, Sunbury, PA; St. John's United Church of Christ, Catonsville, MD; Clergy Staff of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD and Pastor Emeritus of St. John's United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helene Schmauch Schaeffer; three daughters, Sarah S. Morse and husband Alfred of Ellicott City, MD; E. Kathryn De Wane of Sun City Hilton Head, SC; Helene S. Derrenberger and husband Donald of Baltimore, MD; four granddaughters and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathryn S. Moyer. Memorials may be sent to Ursinus College, Box 1000, Collegeville, PA, 19426 or Lancaster Theological Seminary, 555 W. James Street, Lancaster, PA, 17603. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m, Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Okatie, SC. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
