On July 30, 2004, GEORGE B. EVERHART, Jr., 74, died peacefully at home from cancer. He lived in Pasadena, MD, for about 40 years. He was born February 9, 1930, in Fredricksburg, VA, to George B. Everhart, Sr., and Catherine E. Albreght. He attended the University of Maryland for two years before he was drafted into the Army. He worked for A & P Bakery before working for the Postal Service. He retired from the Pasadena Post Office in 1995 and then moved to Ormond Beach, FL, in 1998. While in Maryland, he was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church. In Florida he attended North Pennisula Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Flora, a son George B. Everhart, III, a daughter Brenda Johnson, son-in-law David E. Johnson, two grandsons Ben and Daniel Johnson, and a brother John Everhart. Arrangements are in the care of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL, and Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA. Services were held at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA. He was buried at Burkett Church Cemetery, West Green, GA. Please make memorial contributions to Hospice Care of Memorial Hospitals, 785 W.
