Mariners update

Seattle has lost 18 of its past 19 road games, and that stretch included 15 in a row - the longest for any major league club since the Oakland Athletics dropped 15 straight on the road in 1986. At 39-65, the Mariners are 26 games under .500 for the first time since 1988. After a day off yesterday, the teams will play three games in a span of about 27 hours. That includes a doubleheader today (making up their April 26 rainout at Camden Yards). The Orioles are 4-2 against the Mariners this season. Ichiro Suzuki remains the biggest bright spot for Seattle. He had 50 hits in May and 51 more in July, making him the first player to record two 50-hit months since Joe Medwick in 1936.
