Dundalk man, 42, charged in series of unarmed robberies

A 42-year-old Dundalk man been arrested and charged with half a dozen unarmed robberies in recent weeks, including a holdup Sunday afternoon of a Dunkin' Donuts on Guilford Avenue in downtown Baltimore, police said.

In the latest incident, a robber fled with $80 from the Dunkin' Donuts in the 800 block of Guilford Ave. after giving an employee a holdup note that read, "Give me money. I have AIDS and am on the way to Johns Hopkins Hospital."

The suspect was identified as Richard Resch of the 7600 block of Dunmanway, who had been sought in arrest warrants charging him with five similar robberies.

He was caught nearby by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force after being described by an employee at the Dunkin' Donuts store, police said yesterday.
