Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Victim named: Earl D. Edwards, 18, of the 5500 block of Bellville Ave. was identified yesterday as the man fatally shot early Sunday in the 2100 block of Penrose St. by an unknown assailant.

Robbery/arrest: A 16-year-old boy was arrested early Sunday and charged as a juvenile with robbing another boy of his baseball cap at knifepoint a short time earlier in the 2100 block of Vine St.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A woman, 46, was stopped at a traffic signal in the 800 block of Poplar Grove St. about 2 p.m. Sunday when a gunman forced her out of her 2000 Mitsubishi Galant with tags KNF 281 and drove away.

Central District

Theft: Someone broke into a 2004 Hyundai parked in the 600 block of E. Pratt St. between Sunday night and early yesterday and stole an ESPN Zone employee's uniform, a makeup kit and other property.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A wheelchair valued at $1,000 was taken Sunday from the front porch of a house in the first block of Cardinal Lane.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: More than $400 in jewelry and cash were stolen Sunday from an apartment on Spindrift Circle.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered Randallstown High School over the weekend and destroyed several trophies on display.
