EVELYN MILDRED BAYNE GEHRING DOLCE, March 23, 1918 to July 25, 2004. Services to be held with Catholic Mass at 11 A.M. on July 31, 2004, at St. Anthony of Padua in Baltimore. Mrs. Dolce was a retired Registered Nurse and graduate of Eastern Echo High School, Class of 1937 and graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1940. Mrs. Dolce was the widow of Edwin A. Gehring Sr., former Assistant State Attorney of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her son Edwin A. Gehring Jr., her parents John Earl Bayne and Mildred Trainer (Treaner) Archer Bayne Figgs. Surviving are her two sons Joseph Stephen Gehring and Ralph Michael Gehring, both of Arizona, her daughter Mary Melanie Rummer of Illinois; granddaughter Audie Leah Gehring of Arizona and her two grandsons Andrew Michael Rummer and Patrick Thomas Rummer, both of Illinois. Mrs. Dolce was the third great-granddaughter of Rachel Phillips Levy, Matriarch of Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello. A Daughter of the American Revolution and fourth great-granddaughter of David Treaner who fought in the Revolutionary War. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent, in Mrs. Dolce's name, to Hospice of Southern Illinois Inc., 305 S. Illinois St., Belleville, IL 62220-2159.
