FTI Consulting Inc.

Shares of the Annapolis corporate finance and economic consulting company jumped $1.70, or 10.8 percent, to $17.50 yesterday in advance of its second-quarter earnings report, scheduled for release after markets close today.


Cardinal Health Inc.

The No. 2 U.S. drug distributor's shares lost $6.47 to $44 yesterday. The company said Richard Miller resigned as chief financial officer after U.S. regulators stepped up a probe of Cardinal's accounting. The 13 percent drop was the steepest in the S&P 500.
