On Thursday, July 22, 2004, WILLIAM FREDERICK JUDGE, 72 years old, of Hagerstown, MD. He was born August 1, 1931 in New Haven, CT, son of the late Frederick William Judge and Ethel Meeker Judge. He was a graduate of the University of MD, where he received a B.S., degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as a 1st Lt. in Germany from 1953 to 1955. He was a Licensed Professional Engineer. He began his career with Bartgis Brothers a division of New Haven Board of Carton in Ilchester, MD. He later was employed with CPC International division of Best Foods/Unilever. He was a member of the Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion and was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Margaret D. Judge, two sons, David Mc Alpine Judge of Derwood, MD, Andrew Mc Leyne Judge of Santa Monica, CA, sister, Ruth Judge Jencks of Hamden, CT, one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by brother Earle Meeker Judge. Friends will be received Sunday, August 1, 2004, from 1 to 5 P.M., at the family's home in Hagerstown. Services will be held at Eyler's Valley Church on Hampton Valley Road, between Thurmont and Emmitsburg, MD, August 2, 2004, at 11 A.M., with Rev. Galen Roger Work and Rev. Robert Jencks officiating. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, 21742. Arrangements are by the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown, MD.
